As of September 2018, the crews of yachts both ashore or afloat within the site of La Ciotat Shipyards will receive broadband Internet access.
The yachts’ crews in the industrialharbor of La Ciotat Shipyards will enjoy, from September 2018, access to reliable and secure high speed internet. La Ciotat Shipyard has indeed deployed 11 km of optical fibre across the shipyard.
Yachts will be connected via outlets integrated to the 50 connecting terminals (water, electricity, sewage) installed on docks and land. This secure connection, included in the docking fees, will allow for example to power on board networks, and will offer unlimited Internet access with no need to purchase a subscription with an operator.
When docking or on land, crews will have a great comfort of connection for work … or leisure!
