Last Thursday, July 30 2021, the Board of Directors of La Ciotat Shipyards under the chairmanship of Mr. Patrick Ghigonetto met at its premises to appoint its new CEO, Mr. Philippe Vincensini. He succeeds Mr. Jean-Yves Saussol, who had held that office since 2015.
As the director general of services for the City of La Ciotat from September 1, 2014 up until this year, Mr. Vincensini is not entering new territory. “I worked alongside Mr. Boré and Ms. Salvo for many years and I quickly grew to understand the importance of the relationship between the City and La Ciotat Shipyards. As the new CEO, I want to build on what has already been done. I will therefore endeavor to continue the implementation of the investment plan as voted by the board of directors. This will include completing the delivery of the future 4300t lift and meeting the new challenges to come regarding the rehabilitation of other infrastructure.”
The meeting of the board of directors was also an opportunity to welcome the new directors appointed following the last departmental and regional elections, including:
- Madame Judith DOSSEMONT, representing the Department of Bouches-du-Rhône
- Lionel ROYER-PERREAUT, Mayor of the 9th and 10th arrondissements of Marseille representing the Department of Bouches-du-Rhône
- Bruno GENZANA, representing the South Region
- Mrs Sandra KUNTZ, representing the South Region
“The challenges to be met in order to continue the reindustrialisation of the sites while at the same time maintain an effective environmental approach remain immense, but I am confident we will succeed,” concludes Mr. Ghigonetto “The arrival of Mr. Vincensini and our new directors will allow us to create a new dynamic in collaboration with all of our local communities“.
