The 17th of February 2025, La Ciotat Shipyards has welcomed Olivier François as its new Managing Director. He succeeds Philippe Vincensini, whose term of office ended in July 2024.
« His candidacy received unanimous support. » said Mr. Ghigonetto, Chairman of the local public company. « We still have a number of strategic projects to implement if we are to maintain our leading position in the yacht refit market. Innovation and collaboration with all players in the sector will be essential to attract new customers. »
With over 20 years of experience in the general management of Roannais Agglomeration, Mr. François was chosen to lead the structure and oversee the implementation of the site development plan. Key projects include the continuation of work to refurbish the large halls, the extension of the “Yachting Village” to develop the ecosystem of businesses located on the site as well as continuing measures to reduce the environmental footprint of construction sites.
« The history of the site, its conversion and evolution, deeply appealed to me. I would like to thank President Patrick Ghigonetto and the entire Board of Directors for their trust. Aware of the challenges ahead, I wish to fully contribute to the development of the La Ciotat shipyards. » added Mr. François.
